There are! A limited number of Developer Track tickets are subsidized by the Solana Foundation and offered at $350. To qualify for this program, you must be an active blockchain developer (but not necessarily on Solana!) that does not work at a project that has raised more than $1 million in funding. Applications closed on October 1st.

If you’re a developer under the age of 24, you should apply for the Breakpoint Global Fellows Program! Solana Labs, in partnership with Jump Crypto, will be awarding a significant stipend to promising young builders from anywhere in the world so they can attend the conference. Applications closed on October 1st.

There are two tiers of tickets available:

• Breakpoint 3-day pass + closing party - This ticket gets you access to all 3 days of the conference in all venues plus general access to the Solana closing party on the 10th of November.
• VIP - Access to all conference venues over 3 days of programming, plus VIP package, which includes: VIP dinner prior to conference opening day, access to the VIP lounge at the closing party on November 10, leather registration bracelets, early VIP registration package pickup on November 5, access to the Solana VIP hub, VIP registration and entrance to LxFactory, premium vans for transportation to conference venues and VIP venue.

Tickets may be transferred, but are nonrefundable. However if at the time of Breakpoint your country of residence has instituted a mandatory quarantine exceeding 72 hours, your ticket will be eligible for a complete refund.

If Breakpoint is postponed due to restrictions imposed by local officials, the conference will be rescheduled. If this new date does not work for your schedule, we will provide a complete refund. Please contact us at Breakpoint@solana.com to request a refund.

Breakpoint programming starts on Sunday, November 7 and runs through Wednesday, November 10. The afterparty will be on the 10th of November. Lisbon is an amazing city, full of bars, restaurants, history and activities, so we suggest flying into Lisbon early! We also expect lots of unofficial events to happen the weekend prior.

There are no official accommodations, but all of conferences venues are in the heart of Lisbon. There are lots of great hotels, hostels, and Airbnbs in the city. Here are a few of our favorites:

We selected Lisbon for a variety of reasons. One of those has been Portugal's leadership in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. As we've gotten closer to the event, we know we made the right decision. Now, 85% of Portugal's citizens are vaccinated against COVID-19. Local restrictions, including mask mandates, have just been lifted, and the government takes every precaution to make sure all visitors entering the country have either been vaccinated and tested negative for COVID-19.

We want to keep you safe. We want to be respectful of our host country. With that said, we've made the decision that vaccinations against COVID-19 are mandatory for all attendees of Breakpoint 2021. Proof of WHO-approved vaccinations will be required for all attendees to enter Breakpoint venues.

The following will be acceptable forms of proof of vaccination:

• EU Digital Vaccination Certificate
• CDC card
• CLEAR Health Pass
• Other government-issued vaccination card or passport application (including Sputnik)

We understand that this may be a decision unpopular with some of you and we respect that. We are offering full refunds or registration transfers for those who can't or won't attend based on this decision.

If you can no longer attend, please send your refund request in writing to breakpoint@solana.com by 12pm PST, Friday, October 15.

Breakpoint events will require mandatory vaccination. But travelling to Portugal may have different requirements.

Currently, anyone arriving to mainland Portugal:

• Must present a negative RT-PCR test from the 72 hours prior to arrival
• Will undergo a health screening at the airport
• For residents of certain countries, quarantines are required.
